This is such a touching and profound photo... I love the way it captures the exact moment of quiet desperation and uncertainty from the puppy's perspective, as well as the gentle caution displayed by the soldier. Is this you in the photo or a fellow serviceman?

I wish the photo was slightly more focused on the dog but then I don't really think being there was the ideal location for a photoshoot.

Touching and shows us a positive in such negative.

Very nicely taken photo. On top of that, the way the dog looks makes me feel like I know how the situation is there, which brings an sentimental aspect to the whole thing.
